The thing is that we started Whale long before we started Whale because we were trying to solve our own problems.
Once upon a time, which was actually just back in 2018, states Whale’s co-founder and CEO, Gary Vanbutsele, was leading an IT Services Firm.
“I felt I could never get ahead or actually. I just felt that I was constantly putting out fires. And it was my own fault really because I was focused on trying to solve the immediate problem(s) at hand instead of empowering my team to solve them. As the team grew, things just got worse.
I knew we’d never be able to scale the business unless I found a way to do this. And so the seed for Whale was planted. I began to think of ways to empower my team with information and knowledge sharing.
It was like all the lights came on. I realized that we needed to build a pragmatic approach to managing process in a business environment to enable growth not just for our own business but to help others scale too!”
Of course this wasn’t the “and they all lived happily ever after” storybook ending. Far from it.
It was just the beginning.

Whale is the fastest documentation & training tool that teams love to use.
Whale allows you to centralize all your processes, SOPs, playbooks, and more — so you can quickly onboard, train, and set your team up for success. Most business owners and their teams know that it's important to have company processes documented and shared in order to train and align their teams. BUT they don't do it. Because it simply takes too much time. Whale is the fastest way 🚀 to get your team aligned.

Core coding and IT skills are a must though. Pick a language you followed and liked at Uni, check there is decent job demand for it, and do a udemy.com course on it (great value, great content, very cheap). Pair this with a major cloud (Azure or AWS) qualification which is pretty much a must these days, and you're much more attractive as an applicant. Source: 11 months ago
Prompting is so new I don't think a degree is offered yet, but Microsoft has some accredited classes (FREE) - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/ and you can get a certificate on AI and chatGPT from https://udemy.com , I got a few from them :). Source: 12 months ago

If you're prepared to do self-study, take a look at the udemy.com learning site. I paid somewhere in the region of £15 (they retail for around £60-70 in general but always come on sale at some point) for a number of courses (incl. languages). The courses are rated by students and I haven't yet been let down. Source: 12 months ago
