I've been very happy with https://updown.io. Reliable, very reasonable per-request pricing, easy to set up. The creator did a Show HN about a decade ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8712386. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Each 'step' in a chain of API requests would consume 1 credit. 100% inspired by updown.io's pricing model, which I personally love: https://updown.io/#pricing. Source: about 1 year ago
The part I am missing is a way to know when the stream goes down. I've tried updown.io monitoring, using Powershell to query the broadcast URL, but since the stream doesn't actually END, those all continue to see it as up even when its just spinning circles and not showing any actual video. For a few bucks a month, we use updown.io and we put our page into an iframe for our server status like this - https://palmcoastdesigns.com/server-status. So not a plugin per say, but, it does what you are after. Source: over 2 years ago
I always think it's entertaining that the 200th uptime website that charges their users doesn't compare themselves to the actual competitor, it's not pingdom, it's updown, hundred of websites checked for the price of a buck a month: https://updown.io/. Source: almost 3 years ago

I need to check with you all if I'm crazy or not, because I'm using getflywheel.com as hosting/server provider and the staging website of my site (very simple woocommerce) I'm experiencing extremely slow server response times see here (the green portion of the bar is "Waiting for server response"). I've reached to their customer support and they are saying they allocated the same amount of server resources for my... Source: about 1 year ago
I'm in the process of moving all my Wordpress sites over to getflywheel.com. The pricing is comparable to running my own server (which I also do) but I don't have to worry about uptime, backups, etc. I also like that every site I publish gets attached to their content network (think Akamai or similar) so that site outages are eliminated. If you want to keep your life simple, you can use a Wordpress boutique host like Flywheel as they make it all easy to operate for someone without a ton of experience, and they have awesome support. Their plans start at $15/month, and their basic plan is plenty for most people. I love their service. I currently host 80+ sites with them. https://getflywheel.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience with using Flywheel ideally using their freelancer/agency-focused plans but also with regard to general performance and support? Source: almost 2 years ago
