Hey. I hope you get access to it soon. I'm developing a plugin similar to unroll.me - it will help you to unsubscribe from those unwanted pesky emails automatically. To be honest, I'm developing this for myself, I'm not sure if I would even release it publicly since most people are not comfortable sharing email access with 3rd parties (and rightfully so). Most of these are just newsletters and typical spam. They have your email to send you this stuff from when you made your old accounts. You can unsubscribe from each service manually (usually a small "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each email). Or try this tool to unsubscribe from most of them quickly. Source: 12 months ago

So if Reddit takes these actions, the site will suffer no matter what. We're just calling attention to that and communicating before it's too late. I for one have been spending much more time on open source decentralized not-for-profit social media like the choices listed on https://switching.software -- if I'm going to contribute for free, it might as well be to something that respects me instead of acting like... You can also gradually shift away from these companies' services without completely turning your life upside down. For example, you could switch from Google Maps or Bing Maps to OpenStreetMap without having to change other things in your life.
