It has a lot of voices, which I do like, but most of them are really bad. A lot of the time, they just start muttering gibberish halfway through the sentence I get them to speak, and it's very annoying. Also, the voices sound very robotic and forced. Compare that to 15.ai where the voices sound natural, and you can even choose what emotions you want to be conveyed in speaking. Uberduck is a cool concept, but needs MAJOR improvement.
Based on our record, Uberduck should be more popular than Play.ht. It has been mentiond 216 times since March 2021. ### Why did I build this? 1. LinkedIn and X are b2b lead goldmines. But generating content is hard. You have to figure out what to say. If you're like me, you have trouble coming up with social post ideas when staring at a blank screen. But interesting ideas arrive when I step away from my laptop and talk to people. Also, it's hard to compose the content in a way that appeases the platform algorithms. 2. I want to... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
There aren't really any models that produce realistic real-time voice. I'd recommend ElevenLabs or play.ht, sadly these seem to be the only useable options for now. Source: over 1 year ago
