SHAXPIRIt is very well built with simplicity in mind. There are several themes and all of them look amazing. I love the "typewriter" and "focus" mode. In contrast with other apps that focus the current window and remove all visibility options, Typora goes one step ahead and fades down all other paragraphs as well.
I love the product! Love using it, and it works a treat for me. However, if something goes wrong, the customer service is very poor. There are two versions of SHAXPIR. A free version, and a paid version, yet support is the same - almost non-existent! - It seems to be a 'one-man band' who is the support, perhaps he should have some more help?

Evernote was ok for a little bit, but the only thing it really did for me was search... Once I realized that I switched tactics. I organized my life into domains, and got okay at using grep to replace it. My saving grace that I would pay twice for is https://typora.io.
