  • Learning touch typing while learning to code
Hi. I recently started learning a new programming language on a daily basis. Today I started learning touch typing on typingclub.com however it got me thinking - how can I focus on learning to code while also focusing on not typing like I'm used to (which is without looking at the keys, using all of my right hand's fingers and my left hand's index finger only). • Will my typing speed improve?
Did you learn proper typing technique (or something very close to it) by going to typing.com or typingclub.com or some similar website and working through all the various lessons and exercises until you could type without looking at the keyboard? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • how to move beyond 55-61 WPM ( on average)
I have been touch typing for the last four years ( not FULLY four but always typed if not used a program like typingclub.com). I would rlly love to have a HIGHER WPM but honestly idk HOW to get one. Like typingclub is faar too both difficult and useless for me now. Other websites don't seem as good. I did like Rush Race but everyone beating me half the time is quite discouraging. Overall, I want a more impactful... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How do I switch from qwerty to dvorak fast?
If you can type the pangram the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog without looking at your keyboard, then you know where all 26 letters of the alphabet are on the Dvorak layout. That means that you no longer have any need for the beginner websites such as typing.com or typingclub.com or ratatype.com and can instead move onto the second of the two phases of learning to type. The second phase is one that... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Should i switch to ten finger typing?
You should absolutely continue learning 10 finger typing on typingstudy.com typing.com typingclub.com or keybr.com or whatever site you're using. Being slow and inaccurate is a temporary state that you go through whilst you're learning, yet everyone who asks the same question as you have phrases it in a way that makes it sound like it's a permanent state that they will never get out of i.e. Their destined to stay... • help
For the action-arcade games that the general populace at large keeps calling "roguelike" "roguelite" "roguewhatever" just because they're random with permadeath, I suggest you take a look at the following: Atic Atac(this is literally a mirror-gameplay of Isaac. Yet nowhere will you see it mentioned as a roguelike, because simply it isn't one) Minecraft(slap in hardcore mode and you've got exactly the same... Source: over 2 years ago
  • [Discussion] Are there any Kaggle-style competitions for reinforcement learning?
Last year in my college machine learning class, we had extra credit projects to build reinforcement learning models that were graded on their ability to play Flappy Bird. It was super fun! I just graduated this year and I would like to do more challenges in reinforcement learning, but Kaggle only seems to have challenges for supervised/unsupervised learning. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Creating Flappy Bird with pygame. Part - 0
I am making the famous Flappy bird game using python and it's library called 'pygame'. It is so simple to make and much addictive to play. It requires only 200 lines of codes. There is a web version of this game you can find at flappybird.io. - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
  • Cloud is not for us
The final fear according to me is how to manage the cloud. This is a genuine issue and should be really given deep thoughts. To start with cloud is really simple but to master it is the real challenge. It's the same as playing Flappy Bird game. It is super easy to start & even a 1 year old can play it. You just have to tap the screen to play. But to master it, yeah that's a totally different level of complexity. - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago
