  I looked into the code and found that it uses twelvedata.com for the api. I registered there to test it out but with the free api key you can not get the price for silver it seems?   Quite some time went by as I read about Financial Modeling Prep, an at this time relatively new finance API, in some online forum. It seemed very promising and suitable, as it was affordable, offered real-time prices, and also covered European assets. Of course, there were also some minor downsides, but more or less, all of my requirements were met, so the project was not dead at all but could finally continue. Source: about 1 year ago

  I use fmp. There are some limitations compared to others. The pros are its easy to integrate via REST and its free to use all thw historicals for reports and price data. Source: over 1 year ago

• Sources for Historical Market Data

  Another good source is https://site.financialmodelingprep.com/ I only request the financial statements but they also offer historical price quotes and stock prices for 1m candles for the last 50 years. They have a free tier but I do not know if the market data is part o it. Other prices start with 10$/month. I can not tell you if the 1m/1d candles are any good as I am only interested in SEC statements and news so... Source: over 1 year ago
