Opentype.js might be a bit more popular than TruFont. We know about 2 links to it since March 2021 and only 2 links to TruFont. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Although mildly janky and not really being updated anymore, FontForge is free, powerful, and gets the job done. I've also tried out trufont, which I believe is being made by the same team — the interface is cleaner but it seemed a little buggier and less powerful. Source: almost 2 years ago
I use fontforge, trufont, and various scripts to build my fonts (like ttfautohint). Source: about 3 years ago
With an SVG we can define our image as code, which is pretty neat. But SVG is not able to wrap texts. We can use opentype.js to calculate the width of our texts and to wrap it manually. Finally we have to convert the SVG to a PNG, because the most of social media platforms do not support SVG. This approach could work, but requires a lot of code and it is very complicated. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
