I spent some time working on this tool called IMDB-Trakt-Syncer which syncs user watchlist, ratings and comments for Movies, TV Shows and Episodes both ways between IMDB and Trakt. Reddit does it automatically for users (when u/ prefaces an account name), subreddits (with r/ preface, e.g. r/cattaps) or links (with proper http or https preface, e.g. https://sharkle.com/).
