  • Photos of the kids for grandparents?
Been using TinyBeans for several years but they just doubled their price with no additional service. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Please think before posting pics of your children
If you don't want to be locked into the Apple ecosystem, I've heard good things about https://tinybeans.com/ for the same purpose. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Where do people store their photos/videos these days?
We use Tiny Beans, which acts like a closed-circuit social media app, allowing us to share our photos and videos with friends and family in a more private way. It used to be free, but IIRC last year they tried to monetize, resulting in a bit of a confused brand and website with useless articles, but the photo/video sharing app and browser platform is nice and, in our opinion, worth the small yearly fee. • Sharing baby pictures - thoughts?
My wife managed to find an application that has worked fantastically for us; FamilyAlbum. We're able to invite family members to it, whenever we upload pictures or video those who have been invited and installed the app get a notification so they can check. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Family Album photo sharing app?
I’m looking at options for sharing photos with family and close friends that’s not social media as my husband and I would like to limit the amount of exposure of our soon-to-arrive baby. I found the Family Album app (https://family-album.com). I like the privacy features — though I realize they can change their policies at any point. Has any one else used it? Do you like it? Have you had any issues with it? Can... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Pros and cons of sharing your baby on social media
Neither of us have social media besides Reddit to begin with. However, with our families scattered all over the place, we were finding text chains were getting unwieldy. We use FamilyAlbum now and couldn't be happier with it. Very private, easy to use for the grandparents, and they make adorable highlight reel movies. It's a great alternative to Facebook or Instagram. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • MIL shared pictures with baby's face despite knowing this is a hard boundary for us
Hey, maybe not with MIL, but if there are people you trust not to be garbage and want to share photos with, this is what we use. It’s invitation only, and you can revoke access at any time. We can control who has access (we just allow family and closest of friends), whether they can download images (they can’t), and choose whether or not to allow comments on photos (we chose not to, so only my husband and I can...
