  Instead of "long" branches, you could consider: elongated, stretching, gangling, lanky, towering, lofty, or far-reaching. All of these words I found on thesaurus.com by looking up "long." Now, consider how each of these offers a slightly different vision of this tree, some carrying emotional implications. "Towering branches" give a very different feeling than "lanky branches.".   Do you have access to Microsoft products? They have an appthat students can add to a device that will translate your spoken words into text (you have to have the app or website open as well). There are several other Microsoft translation tools that would also work in different ways, which you may be able to use without a Microsoft license.
