I did what you did a few years back. I bought my (1st) Ergodox-EZ and I switched to Colemak and the new keyboard at the same time. I practiced heavily using keybr.com and thetypingcat.com for about 2 weeks, then had to force myself to stop using QWERTY altogether. I just used my EZ for all my typing. That's great. That means that you will be able to pick up proper touch typing really quickly. It's going to feel really slow at first. It's going to feel really awful. But it will get better quickly. ratatype.com is pretty good, but to be honest, all these sites and pieces of software are very similar as there is only so much that can be said about learning to type. If you read any typing guide or watch any video on the subject, the first thing thta they all say, and the first thing that they all agree on, even if there's a whole bunch of things they don't agree on, is that you should follow something like typing.com, typingclub.com, ratatype.com or keybr.com to learn to touch type with all your fingers and so that you never have to look down at the keyboard.
