Also, yes, you would have to open a different page (and make an account) to use discord. If you dont like the account part you could create a WebIRC server and use https://mibbit.com/ to integrate it into your webpage, but I would get someone technical to handle that lol. Source: 10 months ago

Maybe a web-based IRC client could serve you well, such as mibbit.com if you only want to get to one particular server and channel.. It might be easier to just visit a web site such as this, punch in the server, channel & nickname details, and whala.. Than to install an application if you're not particularly techie. Just 2 cents.
