If you want a proper tile system to handle large amounts of land/data (and don't want to make your own symbology/style) then unfortunately it gets a bit harder. I'm somewhat of a fan of Tegola, if you look through the docs and tutorials (see the navbar at top of the page) you'll see it's pretty easy to set up a premade style. For web maps I'd strongly recommend using OpenLayers. While it's less convenient to get started with compared to the alternatives it's also much more feature-complete and you'll likely hit a ceiling in terms of functionality much later than you would with the others. Source: about 1 year ago
