I tell them they need to watch short videos, say from ed.ted.com, then do 30 mins of reading English, reading out loud to themselves. I say do this daily and ask about words unknown, or contexts, and see what happens. The ones who really want to learn come back speaking better english, after a while of course. Approximately 3 years ago I started doing a front-end development course on teamtreehouse.com wich was pretty good but was like 20 dollars a month.( so I dont really recommend it ) quite expensive. This got me an internship at a friends company. Wich I did for 1 year ( I did some front end stuff but mostly wordpress developing there wich wasnt really my thing but at least I had some tech related development stuff... Source: about 1 year ago
