   Simple but effective

   While all the other bookmarking sites have died, pinboard.in remains and is a reliable and handy place to save all those links you love but are sure to otherwise forget.

• Is there a website where I can look up the basics like "how long does a chicken take to cook in the oven at 400f" or "what heat setting on the bbq should I use to cook a burger" without having to sort through 3000 words of text?

  Or, use a recipe until you can observe when something is cooked. A recipe can come from a book or the internet and will have specific instructions for cooking that food, testing for doneness, etc. If you hate the front matter on blogged recipes, turn to an online magazine or publisher which posts recipes without a lot of introduction - tasty.co, american's test kitchen, eating well, canadian living, gourmet, etc. Source: about 1 year ago

  Adjusted the subtext. I agree that it's nicer, albeit more effort needed, but it works better with the food going around the text like the main words. I did try out a vibrant blue background but it was giving me Tasty vibes.. Source: about 1 year ago

  Tasty.co I don’t know why I’m embarrassed to mention Tasty.co, maybe because of the buzzfeed connection…but a large portion of my 5 star recipes are saved from this website. Source: over 1 year ago

  As for food, I am clueless, but maybe you can make a wonderful Steak Salad to go along with the bread rolls to have some balance between carbs, protein, and leafy greens? (I chuckled when Dwalin was shifting through the salad and asked "where's the meat?" in that Hobbit video above), it's simple to make, and I love recipes from Tasty.   The list of text links is basically what https://pinboard.in is, basically - social bookmarking. I only use it privately, but it does have the exact function you're talking about as well.   Delicious[1] was delicous, and Pinboard[2] is just there. Not into bookmarks that much except for less than 10 significant websites. I might look at ArchiveBox[3] or something like it to bookmark and take a snapshot. • The Small Website Discoverability Crisis

  I'm using a similar service - https://pinboard.in to both managing my own bookmarks and to browse other users' public bookmarks of interest by tag or using built-in search functionality. Quite useful imo.
