• Is there a website where I can look up the basics like "how long does a chicken take to cook in the oven at 400f" or "what heat setting on the bbq should I use to cook a burger" without having to sort through 3000 words of text?

  Or, use a recipe until you can observe when something is cooked. A recipe can come from a book or the internet and will have specific instructions for cooking that food, testing for doneness, etc. If you hate the front matter on blogged recipes, turn to an online magazine or publisher which posts recipes without a lot of introduction - tasty.co, american's test kitchen, eating well, canadian living, gourmet, etc. Source: 12 months ago

  Tasty.co I don’t know why I’m embarrassed to mention Tasty.co, maybe because of the buzzfeed connection…but a large portion of my 5 star recipes are saved from this website. Source: over 1 year ago

• Ideas for fantasy birthday party?

  As for food, I am clueless, but maybe you can make a wonderful Steak Salad to go along with the bread rolls to have some balance between carbs, protein, and leafy greens? (I chuckled when Dwalin was shifting through the salad and asked "where's the meat?" in that Hobbit video above), it's simple to make, and I love recipes from Tasty.   You don't have to use a VPN; you can go to hellofresh.co.uk, hellofresh.ca, hellofresh.ie hellofresh.com.au, or hellofresh.co.nz from the US (and I would presume most places) for recipes from English speaking countries, or if you can read/work out other languages or are ok with using machine translation, various European countries including hellofresh.es (Spain) hellofresh.de (Germany), hellofresh.nl...   You can in fact browse and search the recipes page on hellofresh.ca, hellofresh.com.au, hellofresh.co.uk, and (if you speak German or are willing to deal with recipe translation) hellofresh.de from within the US, and I don't see why they would be otherwise inaccessible. • Red Lentil and Sweet Potato Curry. Probably my favorite of the 3 meals from our last box.
