Aternos Reviews

  1. I got a free server, the service delivers what it is supposed to.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Free
  2. Overall Great

Overall my experience with Aternos have been great, it has been pretty simple to manage, and starts up quick once everything has been set up.

Probably the one reason why I wouldn't always choose aternos to host a simple, free Minecraft server with friends, would be the fact you can't upload your own mods/plugins to the server, they must already be chosen by the staff which can be annoying.

    ๐Ÿ Competitors: PloudOS
๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Completely free|Simple|Easy to use|Servers are fast|Mods are easy to manage
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Not being able to upload own plugins
  3. making server should not be so hard >:(

you make life too difficult mods complicated to install just give a list of all of the installed mods make the server always running not that hard you smurf why canโ€™t I just remove one mod without removing all mods that is so stupid you guys are morons playing minecraft with ONE other person should not be this damn hard fix your shit and get a better name aternos sounds stupid

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    None
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Everything

  • Enhancing AWS VPC Security: Accessing Your Network with a Private Jumpbox using Tailscale
In today's cloud-centric world, ensuring the security of your AWS resources is paramount. I was recently working on a cloud project and wanted a secure way to access the VPC remotely without using EC2 Instance Connect. This is when I came up with the idea to try using Tailscale VPN. I had already been tinkering with Tailscale on my home network and noticed how powerful it was. In this post, I will share how you... - Source: dev.to / 10 days ago

  • Macbook air M1 used with Remote Desktop
My recommendation would be to use Tailscale (https://tailscale.com/) so you don't expose RDP to the internet. The basic Remote Desktop Client will work but if you want something more complex, Remote Desktop Manager is great https://devolutions.net/remote-desktop-manager/. Source: 6 months ago
