   The best thing I found for watching Youtube together.

   You can create a room with a few simple steps. The process of searching and playing videos is very simplified and I like it. Also, the website has a good UI and it is nice to use it on my phone. The notifications in the chat are also really useful.

  Have you tried watching it in another client? Maybe try this site, it's technically for watching things with another person but it might work. You could also use some online proxy like this one. Or use another browser. I'm not sure how the content restrictions work, or if logging out is an option for you.   We use a German website called SyncTube https://sync-tube.de/ . It allows you to watch YouTube videos in a group, with a collective chat box for comments. (And everyone sees the ads, so it keeps YouTube happy too, I believe.). Source: almost 3 years ago
