  Once upon a time I wouldn't have recommended learning a framework to aid learning a language, but tbh Symfony is a great modern framework, and is probably a really good example of how to write Good PHP! It'll help you build quicker and more elegantly, and the toolset around it is fun to use!   The fine details depends on what you are doing with it - Wordpress is the 90lb gorilla in the wild, or frameworks like Symfony & Laravel. Look up the main site, and the frameworks also have well-known video tutorial sites (https://symfonycasts.com/ & https://laracasts.com/) - both with free video series for the basics of the latest major new releases. There are many programs you can enroll her in BUT if she wants to work at her own pace you can look online for what your state/municipality expects a child to know in each year.   However, the math instruction that worked for me (I suddenly had to teach upper level math to expelled students in a self-contained class - and didn't know anything past Alg 1) was khanacademy.org, a free online program.
