Switchboard is an async-first collaboration platform that helps you move faster with fewer meetings. You can share ideas, give feedback, and make decisions in interactive rooms for projects, dashboards, and meetings. The expansive canvas in each room gives you space to visually organize and share applications, files, and documents. You can work in the room by yourself or teams can flip on video to meet in the place where all their work is ready to go.

It would be nice to see actual examples. We use an infinite canvas (https://switchboard.app), but it's hard for me to map the objects we have on our virtual-desktop-like-canvas with the file format described here. The items on our infinite canvas is more akin to a desktop app, where most objects are application windows. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago

When my old job when remote for Covid, my manager would hold telecons, despite having access to videoconference software with the capability to document and screen share (IT setup BigBlueButton ). He would talk to slides we couldn't see, and we were lucky if he sent them out in email before hand. Source: 11 months ago

Big Blue Button (https://bigbluebutton.org) is one. We actually used it at work for meetings but it seems they have since pivoted to be for more virtual classroom. I agree though, even that would need decent IT talent to setup and maintain. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
