Superpowered - Gives me a great calendar widget in the taskbar that provides notifications 10min & 1min ahead of upcoming meetings. Also allows you to join meetings with keyboard shortcuts (Command+Y & Command+J). Just note that they implemented some REALLY crappy spam-marketing stuff that can email meeting participants on your behalf - make sure you disable that in the settings immediately. I was looking through some Y Combinator startups' websites and came across this. I thought the opening graphic sequence with the calendar notifications + minimizing into the menu bar looked pretty nice. I was then wondering whether this animation sequence could have been created solely through CSS/JS or whether it's just created through something like PS/Illustrator. However, I'm getting stuck at finding a replacement for the web app. You see, I hate phones (nothing personal, and it'd be much better if my phone had a full mechanical keyboard built-in but physics won't allow it), so I type all my stuff on the computer using contacts.google.com and calendar.google.com -> it's synched to my phone and I can check it there (plus, notifications!). If it's a personal one, go to contacts.google.com and remove the contacts from there. You can also remove them from the Contacts app if you're syncing contacts with Google, but just going to the website is more straightforward for removing them from the cloud. Source: 12 months ago

My wife said her contacts disappeared on her 6a this morning. They were definitely still there on contacts.google.com so it must be a syncing issue. Told her to wait it out. Created a contact backup just in case. Source: 12 months ago
