  • SN Pro – a free, open-source font designed for Markdown
Hey everyone, OP (Tobias) here. We're excited to release SN Pro today, a friendly new typeface that's open source and free for both personal and commercial use. We've carefully re-designed each character, improving support for Markdown and ligatures. For a detailed breakdown of our design process, check out the link [1]. • Ask HN: Why are there no good note taking apps
Note-taking app [1] founder here. This is a question I hear almost every day, and there's a good reason for that. Note-taking is personal. Everyone wants a note-taking app with just the right features for their personal workflow – whether it's open source, end-to-end encrypted, has handwriting support etc. That's also one of the reasons why the note-taking app and personal knowledge management app market is so... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

For my startup[1] which is built around Markdown notecards we've been using markdown-it for Markdown parsing and so far I've written a couple of extensions for it and haven't had many issues. [1] https://supernotes.app. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

  • Keychron K8 PRO - remap mute microphone [Win10-Lenovo]
I’ve kinda made it work by installing an application called MicMute that mutes the microphone with a hotkey, (something like CTRL + ALT + M) then using VIA to map that hotkey to a button on the keyboard. Source: about 1 year ago
  • x17 R1 Mute Button Always Illuminated + Other Issues
Hello, I found this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Temporary fix for push to talk until it's added to the game
There's a free app on SF called mutemic. You can bind a keyboard key and have push to talk for your mic. Alternatively you can toggle it on or off as well. When you have the push to talk function you can toggle between always on or off by double tapping the keybind. It's a good compromise until we have the functionality in game. https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What’s wrong with my push-to-talk?
I think the easiest fix I found right now is to download MicMute app (https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/) set it up to function like push to talk.. Then switch your voice activation to open in siege and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
  • New to voice chat. How do?
But it's kinda hard to find the switch on the cord during gameplay. And the DAC is not that close to my keyboard. I think I would find a way to get a keyboard or mouse shortcut over those methods. MicMute is one app I found and might try if the in-game stuff doesn't work out. This might have bugs too.
