Best weather apps for 2023
I'm not even sure how AccuWeather even made the list. It is absolutely the worst weather app in existence. It is hilariously behind on current weather (often 3 hours or so). The radar is complete trash. Hell, on more than 10 occasions l, I was looking at the app, while it was POURING outside, and the app says (not kidding) Sunny. No precip expected for at least 4 hours....

  • Orientation of corner townhouse: South West vs South East
?????. Don’t listen to these people. You need to ask in another sub, of course the direct sun will affect, your garden, your house, your enjoyment. The sun here switches a couple of degrees in winter cause we’re close to the equator. http://suncalc.net/ , use this app to get your sun exposure if you know the exact location of your plot, you resale value will be higher. And you will think yourself later. Source: 10 months ago
  • Tracking the shade
Http://suncalc.net you can check the sun's position realtime. Maybe it is useful. Source: 11 months ago
  • Sunrise in Latvia?
Http://suncalc.net or similar app on a mobile should help. E.g. Currently there might be a view from righ-bank lighthouse where Daugava river runs into the sea. Or from Stone bridge in Riga right through the railway bridge. Source: over 1 year ago
  • My first homestead ❤️ any advice on coyotes and red clay will be much appreciated. Im planning on studying the land for a year while fixing up the house.
If you haven't already, check out http://suncalc.net to get started. That's what we did. It was pretty helpful. Source: over 1 year ago

  • January- February
Greater Cleveland usually is excellent at removing snow and treating roads, and snow storms are much less frequent, with thaws very rapid these days. Again, check accuweather.com for daily temperatures in 2023 for those days you plan on being in Cleveland. Source: 5 months ago
  • January- February
Check accuweather.com for January and February of 2023. Weatherspark.com also offers monthly and even daily climate histories. Source: 5 months ago
  • Moving to Cleveland from California beginning of 2024
Here's a useful thread for preparing for northern Ohio winters. Top suggestions IMO: drive more slowly and allow more time for travel in those now limited days with snowy, icy conditions, going is easy, stopping is hard; watch out for black ice when walking or driving; get thinsulate gloves, shoes/boots with good winter traction, knit caps, a couple zip-up hoodies for easy layering; good all season tires (check... • Do YSU's new president and board of trustees support S.B. Bill 83?
Shouldn't all YSU students be taught why 5 percent of Canadian forests were destroyed by wildfires in 2023, an area much greater than the land area of the state of NY, and about the resulting health impacts of flooding northern Ohio with high levels of fine particle pollution? How many Youngstown residents know that fine particle pollution in northern Ohio far exceeds the EPA's annual limits? (You can check... Source: 5 months ago
  • Visiting downtown Cleveland in January can be a relative bargain
I would visit Edgewater Park, Wendy Park and the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve to experience Lake Erie in winter. Be prepared to dress warmly in layers, but you also might find surprisingly good weather. Check out accuweather.com for Cleveland temperatures in January 2023. The accuweather.com forecast a week out should be relatively reliable, so pay attention to cancellation fees in the unlikely... Source: 6 months ago
