Questions and Answers

As answered by people managing Stripe and Kinde.

How would you describe your primary audience?

Kinde's answer:

Our primary audience is engineers, engineering managers, and CTOs for small business. We also have a large based of users in our free tier who use Kinde to help secure their side hustles and personal projects.

What's the story behind your product?

Kinde's answer:

Kinde was born from a frustration of having to reimplement core features every time a new project was dreamt up. Things like customer authentication, feature flags, and billing are needed by almost every SaaS startup at some point with a variety of cloud based and self hosted solutions out there. Kinde's founders got together to reinvent how software companies get started with the ambition to help accelerate their product idea into a reality as fast as possible. All of them have multiple stories of building things in the past and having to reimplement the same features over and over. Why can't there be an affordable option that works with engineers and their team to get them off the ground faster. This is Kinde.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Kinde's answer:

Kinde is offering a horizontal platform to solve fundamental features needed by almost every SaaS startup. Customer authentication, feature flags, and billing. While there are lots of players in the market who do each of those very well, none of them seamlessly work together without manually building in the integration. Kinde's platform is solving those problems under one roof as simply and elegantly as possible. We want your experience to be as painless as possible, which also means that our engineers regularly rotate through our support channels to make sure that your questions are answered as fast as possible by the experts who built the platform.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Kinde's answer:

Kinde has a large suite of support SDKs to integrate with our platform. See https://kinde.com/docs/. At the time of writing, this includes JavaScript, React, NextJS, PHP, Node, Apollo GraphQL, Express GraphQL, Node.js, .NET, React Native, Android, iOS, Ruby, Python, and Elixr. Feel free to reach out to our team if you have any questions on the SDKs or want to suggest another one to add.
