I needed an SSL cert for my db hosted on the same server. I was dicking w cloudflare at first but then I ended up just getting a different set of certs from sslforfree.com. That has been working. But that makes me wonder, if I should just get rid of cloudflare and use those certs directly on the server? Or do I need a cert for every port I want to access? I have a network that has no internet connectivity. The servers/workstations are microsoft. Microsoft DNS/AD. I'm unable to find an elegant solution for applications that perform CRL/OCSP lookups but have to wait for a timeout to expire before continuing. I could create authoritative domains (verisign.com for example) but I would rather find a better solution. does anyone have any ideas on how I can either... Source: about 3 years ago
