The only custom code you can use is Custom CSS in the Design Tab. Everything else including plugins and extensions like SquareKicker require a business plan or higher. Source: almost 2 years ago

I used Squarekicker for this hard drop shadow effect. Unfortunately it’s a subscription based SS plug-in but any edits you make during the trial period stay active on your site after the period ends even if you don’t subscribe. Source: over 2 years ago

Typography: I don't think that compressed sans serif font is very exciting. I know the topic of the poster is pretty bland, but this is a school project. You should be showing off your creativity. Consider choosing two different fonts, one for the headers and one for the body copy. I know you are still learning, so type pairings might not be an intuitive process for you yet.
