For that, I've tried using SoundConverter. While it does work, more or less, it is quite bugged - sometimes it just puts files in random places, it can't handle album icons, and when there are issues with tags (No tags, tags with spelling issues, tags with encoding issues, you name it) it does weird things. The simplest way if you just want the music off it is to use something like cdparanoia on linux (or similar like EAC), and compress with FLAC. Use a drive that's in the accuraterip database if you want to be sure. But that won't capture pre-gap info so if you take those files and burn them back to a disc it won't be exactly the same.
