Democratize user feedback. Tools like SleekPlan and Canny.io allow you to continually get feedback from users and know what is most important to them. If you want a good free software I'd recommend familyecho.com - you can import/export family trees and I also think there's a share function if you and your friends want? It does also calculate the closest relation between two people automatically.
