  I've heard good things about sketchup.com but it costs. If you are going to buy materials (cabinets, fixtures, etc) primarily form a single source I would check with them. I thought that Home Depot had a virtual design center, but it seems you need to physically go in. IKEA has a good design tool that I've used in the past - very advance and free.   There is no "license" for SU Pro. You use your email address and password that you used when you bought it. Have you installed the program? Log into sketchup.com with your user name and password. Then start SU on your computer. Source: over 2 years ago

  I used custommade.com for another style ring recently. I was happy with the pricing, service, design, and wait time. It will take about 3-4 weeks for them to take it from design to completion but any other service is going to be around the same turnaround time. Source: 12 months ago

  I loved the concept. A company like custommade.com (I have no affiliation BTW) could be used to design and make each ring according to the person's preference.   At first I was going to have the entire ring customized through custommade.com, but after several failed CAD attempts, I truly think the ring style I want is too complex for them to replicate even after I have given them many photos and interactive videos from several different angles of the exact ring I want.
