There are a ton of institutions like museums and colleges that are scanning and uploading chunks of their collections and you can find a ton of incredible stuff that's available to download. This won't help for posing existing characters and straight img2img, but I use justsketch.me's free web app to make poses for NAI's form lock feature. It works... fine. The body shapes usually start out kind of funky, but once you manage to generate something more human-looking, like this quick and lazy example, you can then form lock that and keep refining.
