  • Change letter spacing in a bitmap font
I managed to solve it by generating a bitmap font with the Shoebox. It automatically trims every character in a font thus removing the empty space. This solution is far from the best, but unfortunately I didn't find any alternative for adjusting kerning (individual letter spacing). Source: over 1 year ago
  • how to make sprite sheets?
There is a great free tool called shoebox. It would sort pngs together into one image and even do sheet animations from gifs Saved us alot of time in game development. Maybe it can help you Https://renderhjs.net/shoebox/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Creating a hand anti-aliased pixel font to use in a Label?
This tip is just what I was looking for! I checked out some .FNT tools and found a nice tool called Shoebox (http://renderhjs.net/shoebox/) which neatly packs your font sprite and seems a bit more user friendly. Now it's working great in Godot, cheers mate. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • We need more of Richard Stallman, not less
    >The organization and ideas should transcend an individual. It is never the case is my observation (as much as I want you to be correct). Any attempt to detach individual form the goals/idea of an organization leads to bureaucracy, incompetence, and perhaps most importantly authoritarianism of the evil kind. ( there are relatively benign versions of authoritarianism ) >when the ideas seem to be really more needed... - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • We need more of Richard Stallman, not less
The organization and ideas should transcend an individual. The organization right now seems headed for irrelevance, when the ideas seem to be really more needed now that ever. Right now he’s and his camp are in charge, so if he and the group want to run it into the ground so be it. Hopefully the ideas live on and some group can carry it forward. I always thing back to media goblin as something that should be... - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • Looking for a selfhosted public photo album, ideally similar to Imgur
The closest one I can think of to imgur is Mediagoblin. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Self-Hosting Public-Facing NextCloud Server
Personally, I wouldn't use Nextcloud for photos. Instead, I'd look at Lychee, Media Goblin or something dedicated to photo hosting. Lychee looks great, but turned me off because when I looked at it, it seemed to be like Apple Photos in that it puts image files in a database file instead of just raw files in folders.
