And if you are looking for an easy-to-use UI on top of SES, consider this app https://sendy.co/ which is downloadable and self-hosted. Tbh I haven't used it in a few years but it was super useful. I see it's a one-time cost of $69 (used to be $29 but that was over a decade ago). - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
For those looking for a self-hosted solution which doesn’t require a monthly payment, there’s Sendy. https://sendy.co/ Mail Layer seems to do a bit more, do pick your tradeoff. As for feedback on the page, the mobile design isn’t exactly broken but it does have a number of problems. It’s so squished at the top it reads:- Source: Hacker News / 5 months agoMail.
I've been using Sendy for a few years now without any issues. It sends emails through Amazon SES which is dirt cheap ($1 per every 10,000 emails sent). The organic reach of Facebook groups can go up to 30% for large groups above 4k, while with Discord, you're pretty much hitting everyone. With WhatsApp chatbots you can also disguise a promotional message as an informational one, to reduce people reporting you. You can also create hyper-personalised images with Hyperise(https://hyperise.com) to keep your engagement rate up. Source: almost 3 years ago
Anyway, one resource that has helped me differentiate my emails from the rest is a little-known tool called Hyperise. You can send these really cool attention-grabbing personalised images in your emails. An example is of one I've used is sending a picture of a coffee cup with the name of my prospect on it -- definitely a strategy that has boosted response rates! Source: over 3 years ago
