My site has this but only for satellites. https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/ For OP I'd suggest doing calendar events for notifications rather than Web Push. Web Push is very difficult to set up, users are suspicious of it, and it doesn't guarantee timely delivery on Android devices. Calendar events work well on mobile. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago

I bet it is used in a lot of ways people don't notice. In my site[1] I use wasm to run an ancient piece of code called SGP4, but it's totally invisible to the user. Someone actually ported SGP4 to JavaScript but it's slower and doesn't perfectly match the original, so it's great to have the option to run the real C version (actually the original is Fortran but the C port is the standard these days). I live 10 miles from Boston and I've seen them a whole bunch. I've used https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/?special=starlink. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

Https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/ Put in your location and it will tell you when and where to look at the sky to see one. Works great for me and hopefully it will work for you. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • WTH happened at 03:10 this morning?
Starlink Go to this site. It will tell you all the satelites in your area and what time they will pass over you. It will also tell you how many starlink satts will be in the 'train' . Most I have seen was 54 travelling east west and 52 travelling north south. And passed in the middle. That would have totally freaked out a few people. Https://james.darpinian.com/satellites/. Funny. I came to the opposite conclusion. I kept https://everytimezone.com/ after trying parent and a few others in the thread. For eyeball time picks to drive min inconvenience for a group, every tz (after customizing for my tz of choice) was just easier. Glad to have variety in this annoying problem space; more tools hopefully mean less bad scheduling of things. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

Thank you! I have replaced my previous bookmark of https://everytimezone.com/ with this one. Appreciate the simplicity of this one. :). - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

I like the way this tool looks, but I am a big fan of the "row-based" designs from these other tools for comparing time zones. * Every Time Zone: time zone converter, compare time zone difference and find best time for a meeting with one click || https://everytimezone.com/ * Time Converter and World Clock - Conversion at a Glance - Pick best time to schedule conference calls, webinars, online meetings and phone... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
