If all you want/need is “1Password 7” functionality with iCloud synchronization, you might want to take a look at Secrets. It’s available for iOS and Mac, and supports importing .1pif files. It does require a $20 in-app purchase (per platform) though. Source: over 2 years ago

One thing to do, especially if it is your first contribution to open source, is to find some projects. In my opinion, it is great to choose some technologies and software you use every day.
