Ok I'm not Raph but, FWIW, my 3d sculpting app is written using SwiftUI (https://sculptura.app), which is not a view around a database (in fact it was previously UIKit... SwiftUI is so much better). That's why I built buyforlife.com to tackle these issues. The goal was to build a sort of "Productpedia", where people can search and filter through the most durable products of the world, constantly updated and maintained by the community.
