And some help you didn't ask for but I'm just inspired: screenpresso.com has a free version of their image capture. (It also does video and so on.) Lots of settings. I set it to let me do a hot key (I chose ctrl+shift+N) and then select with my mouse a screen region, and it automatically saves it to a folder on my computer.
