SchemaSpy VS pgModeler

If you don't need a tool where you can edit an ERD, try SchemaSpy it generates a nice HTML report of all tables, columns and creates an ER diagram based on declared foreign keys. I have never used it with SQL Server, but with Oracle and Postgres it also extracts the comments for tables and columns. PgModeler is an open source tool that does diagramming as well as database management, including asking if you want to cascade when trying to drop tables. UI is a big quirky but once you get used to it, it’s very nice. I swear by it. https://pgmodeler.io. Source: almost 2 years ago

Is there free and open-source database/data modeling tools available? I am looking for a tool that covers both OLTP (normalized schema) and OLAP (dimensional/STAR schema) modeling.
