  • I'm letting my students run a conference. Scheduling is a nightmare. Software is expensive and overkill. What would you do?
    We used to use the webapp sched.com for organizing presenters and rooms, and allowing students to register for their preferred sessions on a grade-tiered first come, first serve basis, but we were only using a small portion of the capabilities of the tool and still needed to micromanage signups so one grade didn't get all the best workshops.
