Settlers VI is functional under Linux using WINE, but I expect Photon would work better. As for Adobe software, which bits do you need? Krita covers Photoshop and Illustrator in one, and we use Saola Animate for our Flash replacement at my digital signage company, which can work under WINE perfectly well, or in a VM. However, all of the things you ask are possible--access to your client's assets, buy your own and bill them, source free images. shutterstock.com is one of my favorites.
