  • Saks credit
I called just a while ago and the CS agent looked into it. Apparently (according to her) it only triggers automatically if it is coded Saks.com. I paid through the Saks app and it apparently coded 'saksfifthavenue.com'. The CS agent even went to Saks.com and was re-routed to saksfifthavenue.com. . Apparently Amex's system doesn't auto-trigger the credit in this case. Source: 10 months ago
  • Important: Please ask Akamai to unblock Mullvad IP addresses, so we can access major websites again
Mullvad users can no longer access united.com, aa.com, delta.com, saksfifthavenue.com, and many other major websites. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of May 20, 2022
I've had my eye on them for a little while and that's pretty much the best deal I've seen. You can also buy from saksfifthavenue.com. They often have 10% off and other offers. Might be able to get some rakuten cash back there as well. I have not actually ordered yet, so can't give you any more specifics than that at the moment. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What is a good quality cookware set that will last a long time?
The Industry 9.5" skillet is on sale for $100, that would be a great place to start: https://www.zwilling.com/us/demeyere-industry-9.5-inch-18%2F10-stainless-steel-frying-pan-48624/40850-683-0.html?cgid=our-brands_demeyere_cookware_industry-5#start=1 If you really want the absolute best though, sometimes the Proline 9.4" goes on sale at saksfifthavenue.com for around $140. • If you haven't already used your $50 Saks credit, here's a promo code for another $50 off $200.
Not a stupid question at all. Currently saks.com is the same as saksfifthavenue.com, but it is technically a luxury e-commerce company that is separate from the Saks Fifth Avenue fleet of brick-and-mortar stores. Both are owned by the Hudson Bay Company and you can do stuff like return items from saks.com to your local store, but it sounds like these will probably diverge more significantly in the future. • Can anybody recommend a good CNC conversion kit?
For a hobby machine, DIY might be the way to go. I did my sharp knee mill over several years. Ball screws from Rockford ball screws, were not cheap, but work well. Servo motors and gecko motor controllers from automationtechnologiesinc.com. Scales for feed back from dropros. Controller card from mesanet.com. All controlled with linuxcnc.org and a usb controller from vistacnc.com. Milled motor mounts for the... Source: over 1 year ago
  • CNC build
I'm building a DIY-ish 3d printer, I know the Duet 3D boards can run spindles. https://www.machsupport.com/software/mach3/ Or Http://linuxcnc.org/ can run stepper driver boards with a spare desktop. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Questions from someone looking to build a desktop mill
Good questions, I may be able to help with some of them but I know there are plenty of more experienced mill owners: 1. This is usually done manually or with indexing pins. If you look at the nomad flip jig you can see some techniques for physically re-aligning the part. Since you have skills in that area, a software solution could help, but I’m not aware of anything off the shelf in the hobby space. It could be... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Help with old ISA Cards and CNC machines
This system is so old, I would recommend looking into converting to LinuxCNC https://linuxcnc.org/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Mach 3… do you enjoy success with it?
If you are basically just a CNC operator they will take about the same amount of time to learn how to run them. LinuxCNC however may take a little more time configuring the system depending on features. You will definitely learn a bit more about how your machine operates configuring LinuxCNC since you have to compute a few settings based on your screw pitches and latency jitter of your PC. The calculators and... Source: over 2 years ago
