What is up with Broadcast software providers? Is a reskin of a google doc worth 900$ a year for ONE SEAT? Is an iPhone app worth 400$ a month for unlimited licenses (only one at a time active user though). What the hell is wrong with them? Why is there such a huge disparity? It's broken at the moment due to the update that killed the Alternate Player but Streamlink should be a good solution, it's active so it should be fixed soon and uses VLC or other compatible media players and Chatterino or Chatty for chat. Source: 12 months ago

If you're okay with command-line interfaces, I find Streamlink is very good for this - I've never had to wait for any ad breaks when using it (but I almost never use it since I primarily use Twitch on mobile) so YMMV. Source: about 1 year ago
