Honestly I use to do this at an old job and in college jobs. Download https://github.com/michael-lazar/rtv and use reddit in the terminal. Then when people pass by the won't complain because most people see the terminal and immediately think your doing high end technical stuff. I also use to do a lot of Udemy tutorials while bored. Sadly so, and I sadly don't think we're headed towards another IE situation, as that at least was broken up. Google has already gone way beyond IE. They're in almost everything. On the internet side, you should look up Electron and CEF (chromium embedded framework). W3C, WHATWG, Khronos Group.
