   Great editor, does everything you need

   I created a few nice looking websites with the free version of RocketCake - it it very easy to use and simply gets out of the way. It has all the options I need and you can create complicated stuff with mostly a few clicks.

   🏁 Competitors: Adobe Dreamweaver, Sandvox, WYSIWYG Web Builder, NetObjects Fusion

   👍 Pros:    Easy to use|Quick and easy|Fully responsive

   👎 Cons:    None so far

• Ask HN: Easiest way to build a CRUD app

  The concept looks very similar to the idea behind Mavo[1] and I think is great. Mavo is probably is too dumbed down for the HN crowd, but for simpler requirements I don't see how I personally could get a CRUD app running any quicker. A big part of this is being able to make the back end someone else's problem without fuss (local storage, GitHub, Dropbox, Firebase, Google Sheets, etc), but there are other options... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

• Just started teaching myself how to code a few days ago and I have questions.

  In my opinion, having been at this for over twenty years, learn HTML and CSS before you go diving into JavaScript and get those fundamentals down. People underestimate how much you can accomplish without any JavaScript at all. Once you get the hang of that, mess around with Mavo so you can get a feel for reactivity. Then learn JavaScript.
