I understand abortion is a touchy subject for some people, but it's not like I was advocating for or against abortion. Im using the Jeroba app on android first of all. It just seems like lemmy is a complete and total mess. So many contradicting things Im seeing. And then theres instances and communities but apparently it "doesn't matter what instance you choose because you'll still have access to all other communities anyway". Well that is pretty much false. Signing up isn't complicated, people just get confused by what "federation" means... It doesn't matter what instance (or "server" if it's easier to understand) you sign up for. I'm on lemmy.world but I post and comment on lemmy.ml and 10-15 other instances all the time. My subs on lemmy are mostly related to video games, but this points out something that confuses some folks coming over from Reddit - lemmy.ml and beehaw.org both have communities named "gaming" and they are separate...
