  • Retroarch.. does it actually work.
I know everyone has their opinions about using paid emulators, but I bought a copy of RetroX on a black friday or Christmas sale or something like that several years ago for my shield and I'm very happy with it. I map an NFS share off my fileserver that holds all my roms, and I use a bluetooth xbone controller with it and have very few, if any, problems. Source: over 1 year ago

  • nocash: "I am homeless in Hamburg - please help me out"
Nocash is responsible for a number of different emulators over the years, most of which include powerful debuggers. They've been quite useful for a lot of emudevs here (myself included). Source: over 1 year ago
  • What are some dirt-cheap devices that you would recommend for complete beginners to play around?
For documentation, Gameboy programmers seem to recommend "pandocs" and nocash tends to include excellent hardware documentation with his line of emulators (though apparently the gameboy emulator isn't as accurate as it could be). Source: over 2 years ago
  • This is my very first emulator implementation!
