    A safer way to dl games (et al) is prolly to use direct downloads (ddl) which can be found everywhere. No info shared. If you go looking I'd recommend using uBlock Origin & NoScript as a minimum; some (all) of the bigger ddl sites are usually financed with pop ups / ads etcs. I'd also recd using jdownloader.
