An online retro board, that everyone can log into.

Start up a video call on Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, or whatever tool you already use, and open RemoteRetro in your browser. Throw it up on a tv/screen/projector, and have the remote team members join in and everyone is guided by a facilitator. Or, if your team doesn't have any remote team members, use it to like a scribe to keep a record of the sprint/iteration's retro items.

In building RemoteRetro, we used it to run retrospectives on the progress of the development of it. We've built the tool to scratch our itch, to solve our problem. We hope to help other teams also run excellent agile retrospectives, where every team member feels heard and included.

  1. Great way to gather communities

Currently there is no better platform to gather a worldwide audience of people that share a common interest. Server admins just need to invest a lot of time to ensure the community receives the right amount of moderation. Bad apples need to go while folks are still allowed to engage in a spirited conversation that isn’t stifled by over-moderation. Discord support itself could be better in assisting communities that exist to serve their user base in good faith.

  2. Absolutely love this app.

There used to be bugs every update or so, but they've managed it well. I like chatting with my friends, having a server as my personal calender and task list as well as playing games.

At Unwinnable, we use Discord to connect with our digital magazine subscribers.
