Hey all, I have a huge passion for traveling and desperately want to move out of the US. However, I financially can't. I'm looking into colleges in the UK but still want to find a remote job that is preferably international. Any advice? I've tried remote.co but other than that I don't know what to do nor who to talk to. I'm having no luck after nearly a year. I have to move out of my situation, it's extremely... Source: 6 months ago
Check http://remote.co for starters. Far too many of the remote gigs on LinkedIn are scams. You might also check at /r/WorkOnline or /r/WorkOnlineJobs and look for the software dev subs. Source: 10 months ago
Try out remote.co or indeed.com, and search for remote. Some places have no restrictions on where they hire, and some will be state-specific. Amazon, Home Depot, most of the credit card companies, TTEC, you'd be surprised how many places hire remotely. Most of them will supply you with some, if not all of the equipment that you need. I earned at 16-18, learn a skill and become fairly good at it. And make an account on Fiverr. upwork. freelancer.com, etc. Design, code, or anything which can be offered digitally. If you get an order on any of them double down on it. Cold reach-out works, but you've to show something to them as a portfolio. Instagram is a good place, as I did. Source: 11 months ago
If my subscribers and views were multiplied by 100, it would have become a part-time job. I would be declaring income on my tax form, and keeping track of expenses. I might be considering hiring part-time editors on freelancer.com, but since they'd be independent contractors, they'd be just an expense to me. They'd be responsible for their own taxes. I worked on freelancer.com for 3 months doing mostly side gigs. WIth the payment, it wasn't much of an issue for me. The first payment indeed, it was more "special", as in, it took 2 months until I got the money in my account. But any other payment after that, were processed within days (at worst). I had some other issues (due to the country I'm working from), like my VISA card not being accepted so I had to do... Source: 11 months ago
I once posted on reddit my thoughts on freelancer.com and I assume, that it does not have a high reputation among other redditors. Someone who hired freelancers on that very site said, that clearing a payment is very difficult on that site, which I could understand. So do you have also faced other problems on that side? I am also waiting for payment since two weeks. Other than that, I think that the layout looks... Source: 11 months ago
