Recovery Explorer Professional is a software solution suitable for such exigent users as technicians and data recovery professionals. With its help, they can cope with a wide variety of complicated data loss scenarios, for instance, those related to corrupted drives, custom RAID layouts, rare formats, etc.

The program can be used to restore photos, videos, music, PDF, text and other types of files from external and internal hard disks and solid state drives, SD and other memory cards, USB thumb drives, RAID arrays and RAID-based systems, various composite volumes, as well as from virtual disks and disk images of different formats.

The list of supported file systems is very long and includes those of Windows (NTFS, FAT/FAT32, exFAT, ReFS/ReFS3), macOS (HFS+, APFS), Linux (UFS2, big-endian UFS, Adaptec UFS, ReiserFS, JFS, XFS, Btrfs, F2FS), BSD/Solaris (ZFS) and VMware ESX(i) (VMFS, VMFS6).

RAID arrays: standard, nested and hybrid ones, as well as proprietary configurations like Drobo BeyondRAID, Synology Hybrid RAID, ZFS RAID-Z and Btrfs-RAID, and custom arrays defined with RAID Definition Language (RDL); disk images and virtual disks (VMware VMDK, QEMU/XEN QCOW/QCOW2, Hyper-V VHD/VHDX, R-Studio RDR and other); Windows Dynamic Disks, Microsoft Storage Spaces, Apple Core Storage, Fusion Drive and LVM with thin provisioning; Encrypted storages (LUKS encryption, Windows BitLocker, Apple FileVault 2, encrypted Apple APFS volumes and DMG disk images, TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt) with the possibility of in-program decrypting.

Recovery Explorer Professional also offers numerous additional instruments and functions, including an in-built disk imaging tool, a file previewer (to preview images, documents and PDF files), a hexadecimal viewer (for raw data content analysis and editing), a S.M.A.R.T monitor of drives, a quick and advanced file search, multiple file filters, etc.
